About Kollabit

Kollabit is a remote-first software studio in Canada. We build websites, CRM systems, mobile apps and AI automation for small businesses — mostly legal and real estate practices who've been quoted $15,000 and three months by someone else.

We scope work in days and ship in days. That only works with people who can go from a conversation to a working product without a project manager in between.

About the role

We build software for people who are not impressed by design. A paralegal doesn't care about your grid system — she cares whether she can find last month's invoice in under ten seconds.

You'll design interfaces that are fast, obvious, and slightly better-looking than they need to be. No mood boards, no 40-slide presentations, no design system documentation nobody reads. Figma to built, fast.

What you'll do

• Design websites, dashboards and CRM interfaces for small business users
• Work in short cycles — designed in the morning, built by the afternoon
• Make interfaces that work for people who are not good with computers
• Build reusable components rather than one-off screens
• Design directly in-browser when that's faster than Figma
• Give clients one strong option and a reason, not three and a question

What we're looking for

• 4+ years designing digital products — web apps and marketing sites
• Strong visual craft: typography, layout, hierarchy that survives contact with real content
• You work with real content and real constraints, not polished demos
• Comfortable with HTML/CSS, or Framer/Webflow — enough to ship, not just hand off
• Fast. Our whole model is days
• Portfolio of shipped work, not concepts

Nice to have

• Designed CRM, admin or internal tools
• Tailwind or a component-driven workflow
• Built or maintained a design system for a small team
• AI-assisted design or codegen tools
