Website Development
A simple business website, typically two build days.
A business website is a couple of days of work and everyone in the industry knows it. The four-month timeline is process and the five figures are people managing the process. We took both out.
Why people rebuild
Slow, dated, and it doesn't convert.
Small business sites can lose people quickly when they are slow on mobile, unclear what you do, no obvious way to get in touch. Then there's a monthly fee for a site that hasn't changed since it launched. It's not that the site is ugly. It's that it isn't doing anything.
What's in it
Eight things, all included.
Design built for your business,
not a template with your logo dropped in.
Speed as a requirement.
Performance targets and Core Web Vitals agreed for the project, measured before launch.
Mobile-first.
Most of your traffic is a phone. It gets designed for first, not adapted to.
A contact path that works.
Form, booking, or bot. Tested, monitored, and it doesn't silently break.
Editable content.
Change your own copy without calling us. If you need us for a typo, we built it wrong.
SEO foundations.
Structure, metadata, schema, sitemap, and content built to be found rather than added later.
Analytics that answer a question.
What people do, where they leave. Configured, not just installed.
Accessibility basics.
Contrast, keyboard navigation, alt text, semantic markup. Legally relevant in Ontario and just correct anywhere.
Modules are conditional capabilities. Providers, data handling, permissions, integrations, evaluation and human review are confirmed in the written scope.

The ones we get asked.
How much does a business website cost in Canada?
$200 CAD per day, per engineer. A simple scope typically takes two engineer-days, around $400 before tax and third-party costs. There is no monthly Kollabit platform fee for the stated custom build. Simple and typical estimates are non-binding. Final scope is confirmed before billing; taxes and third-party costs are additional.
Two days? Really?
Yes, for a standard business site. Ecommerce, custom functionality or a large content migration takes longer and we'll say so upfront.
What do you need from me?
Half an hour on a call, your logo, your content or permission to write it. That's it.
Can I edit it myself afterwards?
Yes. Content editing is included and doesn't require us.
Do you do hosting?
We set it up in your name at cost. No markup, no hostage situation. Simple and typical estimates are non-binding. Final scope is confirmed before billing; taxes and third-party costs are additional.
What about SEO?
Foundations are included — structure, schema, speed, metadata. Ongoing content and campaigns are a separate conversation. Collection, provider configuration, retention, access, deletion, human review and regulated-data handling are confirmed in the written privacy/security scope. This is a scoped target subject to data, platform, network and test results—not a universal guarantee.
Can you migrate my existing site?
Usually. Send the URL and we'll tell you if it's two days or more.
Who owns the site?
Custom project deliverables transfer after final payment, subject to our Terms. Pre-existing Kollabit materials and third-party tools keep their existing ownership or licences.
What if I need changes later?
Additional work is scoped in engineer-days; minimums and availability are confirmed in writing. No outcome is guaranteed; the free prototype tests the direction before billing. One clickable prototype and one feedback round are free. If you stop there, no payment is due and you keep the feedback; the prototype remains Kollabit property unless the engagement proceeds, subject to our Terms.
What if I don't like it?
The rebuilt homepage is free with one feedback round. Walk away owing nothing. No outcome is guaranteed; the free prototype tests the direction before billing.
