About Kollabit

Kollabit is a remote-first software studio in Canada. We build websites, CRM systems, mobile apps and AI automation for small businesses — mostly legal and real estate practices who've been quoted $15,000 and three months by someone else.

We scope work in days and ship in days. That only works with people who can go from a conversation to a working product without a project manager in between.

About the role

Anyone can call an API. You design the systems where twelve calls, four tools and three fallbacks have to work together with nobody watching.

You'll build the automation layer behind our client work — pipelines that read inboxes, route leads, draft responses, update CRMs and escalate when something's wrong. And you'll build the internal tooling that lets a small studio deliver like a much larger one.

What you'll do

• Design and build multi-step, multi-tool AI workflows that run unattended
• Build the evaluation and monitoring that tells us when a pipeline has quietly started failing
• Wire AI systems into real business tools — email, calendars, CRMs, payments, phone
• Own prompt architecture: versioning, testing, regression checks
• Design the human-in-the-loop points and decide where they're non-negotiable
• Cut cost and latency without cutting reliability

What we're looking for

• Deep hands-on experience with LLM orchestration — agents, tool use, chained workflows
• You've shipped an AI system that ran in production unsupervised, and you know exactly what broke
• Strong Python or TypeScript
• Rigorous about evaluation. You don't ship on vibes
• You know where AI genuinely helps and where it's expensive theatre
• You design for failure — retries, fallbacks, graceful degradation

Nice to have

• MCP, function calling, or agent frameworks
• RAG systems that stayed accurate past the demo
• Workflow platforms — n8n, Temporal, Inngest
• Public writing or open source on AI systems
